Our Flexible Refund Policy at Destiny Leisures

At Destiny Leisures, we understand that sometimes, even the best-laid travel plans need to change. We strive to be as flexible and fair as possible while also honoring the commitments we make to our partners to ensure unforgettable experiences for all our travelers.

1. Understanding Your Cancellation Options

Tailormade and Custom-made Tours

We offer clear options based on how far in advance you cancel:

  • Less Than 30 Days Before Departure: Unfortunately, no refund is available at this stage.
  • 30-59 Days Before Departure (after the full payment is made): A 65% refund of your total tour cost.
  • 60+ Days Before Departure: You’ll receive a full refund from your initial 20% deposit, minus a processing fee of AUD 200.00. You also have the flexibility to transfer your booking to different dates, subject to availability (additional cost may apply).

2. Non-Refundable Components

Please note that some specific components are non-refundable, regardless of when you cancel. These include:

  • Visa processing fees
  • Travel insurance premiums
  • Airline ticket change/cancellation fees
  • Special event tickets (e.g., concerts, shows, exclusive experiences)
  • Third-party service fees already paid to suppliers

3. How to Request Your Refund

To initiate a cancellation and refund request, simply:

  1. Email Us: Send a written cancellation request to info@destinyleisures.com with a copy to finance@destinyleisures.com.
  2. Provide Details: Include your booking reference number and the reason for your cancellation.
  3. Supportive Documents: If you’re claiming exceptional circumstances, please attach any relevant supporting documentation.

Our Processing Timelines:

We work hard to process refunds swiftly:

  • Standard Refunds: Typically processed within 7-14 business days from approval.
  • Credit Card Refunds: Expect to see the refund appear on your statement within 7-14 business days.
  • Bank Transfer Refunds: Usually completed within 5-7 business days.
  • International Refunds: May take up to 21 business days due to international banking processes.

Refund Method: Your refund will generally be processed using the original payment method, unless you request and we approve an alternative.

4. Tour Changes by Destiny Leisures

While we aim for perfection, sometimes minor adjustments are necessary.

Minor Changes:

These might include:

  • Changes to accommodation of a similar standard.
  • Slight itinerary adjustments.
  • Minor modifications to transportation types and times.

No compensation will be provided for minor changes.

Major Changes:

In rare cases, significant changes might occur, such as:

  • Significant itinerary alterations.
  • Accommodation downgrades.
  • Tour cancellation by Destiny Leisures.

If a major change occurs, you’ll have the following options:

  • Accept the changes with possible compensation.
  • Transfer to an alternative tour of equal value.
  • Receive a full refund of the tour cost.

5. Our No-Show Policy

If you fail to join your tour or miss the departure without prior notification:

  • No refund will be provided.
  • No credit toward future tours will be issued.
  • The full tour cost will remain payable.

6. Partial Refunds

For situations where you join a tour late or depart early:

  • No partial refunds will be given for unused portions of the tour.
  • No refunds for missed activities or meals.

7. Group Bookings

Group Size Requirements:

If the minimum group size for a tour isn’t met, we’ll offer you:

  1. Option 1: Transfer to a different group / departure date.
  2. Option 2: Receive a full refund.

Group Member Cancellations:

Individual cancellations from a group booking will follow our standard cancellation terms and may affect the pricing for the remaining group members.

8. Special Offers & Promotions

Tours booked under special offers or promotions may have specific, modified cancellation terms. Please always check the details of the offer:

  • Promotional tours may be non-refundable.
  • Last-minute deals are typically non-refundable.
  • Early bird specials may have adjusted cancellation terms.

9. Dispute Resolution

If you’re not satisfied with our refund decision, we encourage you to:

  1. Internal Review: Request a review by our management team.
  2. External Mediation: Consider independent travel industry arbitration.
  3. Regulatory Complaint: Contact the relevant consumer protection agency.
